Hokuriku is Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures facing the Sea of Japan.
Surrounded by mountains and the sea, this area has developed a unique culture, and there are many attractions such as historic sights, scenic spots rich in nature, gourmet food of the mountains and seas, and it is a recommended spot attracted by domestic and foreign tourists.
There is a wide variety of traditional crafts, local sake, sweets and souvenirs unique to Hokuriku.
The Hokuriku Shinkansen, which opened in 2015, has improved access from Tokyo to Kanazawa in 2.5 hours, and the number of tourists visiting is increasing.
