“Chiikawa Mogumogu Honpo” Kawagoe Store Opens on February 20th!

Exciting news for Chiikawa fans! The second “Chiikawa Mogumogu Honpo” store is set to open on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Kawagoe’s Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley)!

Chiikawa Mogumogu Honpo Comes to Kawagoe!

After gaining massive popularity in Kyoto, “Chiikawa Mogumogu Honpo” is making its way to the Kanto region! The store will be located in Kawagoe’s historic Candy Alley, blending perfectly with the area’s retro townscape.

Fans can expect a wide selection of goods and sweets featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and other beloved characters. Plus, exclusive items only available at the Kawagoe store will be released!

Kawagoe Store Exclusive: Sweet Potato-Themed Goods

Kawagoe is famous for its sweet potatoes, and now Chiikawa and friends are joining in on the fun!

Limited-edition merchandise will feature adorable designs of the characters holding or wearing sweet potatoes. Additionally, the Kawagoe-exclusive “Chiikawa Tsubuan Dorayaki” will be available. This soft and fluffy sweet red bean pancake makes for a perfect souvenir!

From castella manju and shrimp rice crackers to original mugs and acrylic charms, the shop offers a variety of cute and delicious items.

One of the highlights is the Kawagoe-exclusive chain mascots and plush toys! Other special items include daruma-themed acrylic stands and original handkerchiefs featuring “Kawagoe” lettering.

Reservation Required for the First Two Weeks

To avoid overcrowding, a reservation system (first-come, first-served) will be in place from February 20 (Thu) to March 2 (Sun).

Reservations can be made through the official Chiikawa Mogumogu Honpo LINE account, so make sure to add it in advance!

Special Opening Commemorative Gifts!

To celebrate the grand opening, customers who spend ¥2,000 (tax included) or more will receive a random clear card (4 designs available).

Additionally, those spending ¥8,000 (tax included) or more will get a layered acrylic stand as a gift!
