Chiikawa Yaki Guide in Yokohama: Reservations, Menu, and Exclusive Goods

This page provides a detailed guide to Chiikawa Yaki Yokohama World Porters Store, which opened in April 2025. Learn how to get there, how to make reservations, what’s on the menu, and other useful tips—perfect for international visitors!

What is Chiikawa Yaki?

Chiikawa Yaki (ちいかわ焼き) is an adorable Japanese snack inspired by the popular character Chiikawa. Shaped like taiyaki (a traditional fish-shaped cake), it’s filled with sweet fillings like red bean paste, cream, chocolate, and more. Both the taste and the cute character shapes make it especially popular with fans.

While Chiikawa Yaki has been sold at limited locations like GiGO’s Taiyaki shops in Ikebukuro and Akihabara, in April 2025, the first-ever dedicated Chiikawa Yaki shop opened in Yokohama.
