Nagoya’s Cutest New Icon: “Piyorin Village” Opens at Nagoya Station!

If you are visiting Nagoya, you cannot miss Piyorin—the famous, incredibly cute chick-shaped pudding cake that has taken Japan by storm. Known for being so delicate that it often breaks during transport (spawning the famous internet trend, the “Piyorin Challenge”), this beloved sweet now has its very own theme-park-style cafe right inside Nagoya Station!

Piyorin Village opened its doors on June 15, 2026. Here is everything international travelers need to know to survive the crowds and enjoy this adorable culinary experience.

What is Piyorin Village?

More than just a standard cafe, Piyorin Village is designed like a mini-theme park based on the world of Piyorin.

Inside, you will find exclusive merchandise, specialty Piyorin sweets, and three beautifully themed seating areas:

  1. The Forest of Sweets (お菓子の森): A whimsical, candy-inspired zone.
  2. The Starry Night Sky (星降る夜空): A magical, glowing evening atmosphere.
  3. The Good Morning Hill (おはようの丘): A bright, cheerful zone. Note: Located on the 2nd floor, accessible only via stairs (no elevator/slope).

Can I Just Walk In? (Same-Day Visits)

Yes, but be prepared! Waiting 2 hours on the day of your visit is completely normal.

Because there is no waiting space outside the shop, they use a smart ticketing system so you don’t have to stand in line the whole time.

How to get a same-day ticket:

  • Go to the shop and find the automated ticketing machine (自動発券機) at the entrance.
  • Issue your ticket, which will have a QR code printed on it.
  • Scan the QR code with your smartphone. You will receive a notification when your table is almost ready.
  • Explore Nagoya Station while you wait, and head back to the cafe as soon as you get the notification!

⚠️ Rules for Walk-ins:

  • Dining time is strictly limited to 90 minutes.
  • Every person must order at least one drink.
