“Gegege no Kitaro” is a popular Japanese anime.
Television anime was first broadcast in 1968, half a century ago.
By 2018, six TV anime series have been broadcast.
“Gegege no Kitaro” is very popular as a character that children and seniors can enjoy.

There are many youkai such as Kitaro, Medama Oyaji, Neko-musume (Cat Girl), and Nezumi-otoko (Rat-man).

The promenade that connects the JR Sakaiminato station square to the Mizuki Shigeru Museum has been maintained as a “Mizuki Shigeru Road” and the entire city is like a theme park.
The author Shigeru Mizuki spent his childhood in Sakaiminato, Tottori.

Not only the youkai that appear in the work, but also a total of 177 bronze statues, including youkai from all over Japan, are set up to tickle your exploration.
